Type of Insurance Coverage
Employer
Employer coverage refers to coverage that is accessed through an employer. This generally means that both the employee and the employer contribute to the cost of the monthly premium.
Individual
Individual coverage is coverage that is purchased on the individual, non-group market. The individual or family pays the entire premium amount.
Medicaid
Medicaid provides health insurance to low-income Americans. It is administered and financed through a federal-state partnership. Eligibility varies by state.
